ARCHON 35 is returning to Collinsville.
This was not an easy or capricious decision on the part of the Archon Board of Directors.
Archon 34 was a great success. We had great attendance, super guests, and fine weather. The employees of the Sheratons at Westport did all they could to make the weekend a success and we really appreciate their efforts.
Unfortunately, they do not have dates for us in 2011 unless we move Archon to sometime in August. The board felt this was not a workable solution.
Meanwhile, our negotiations with the Doubletree in Collinsville were very successful and we have worked out an agreement with them that allows us to have both Hospitality and room parties in the hotel as we have had in the past. Our normal October dates were available at the hotel as well as at the Gateway Center (where we have always had a wonderful relationship) and so we have decided to return there for 2011.
We are already working on Archon 35 and look forward to working with the Doubletree and the Gateway Center.
